My 06/16/26 postcard features a Curve-billed Thrasher perched atop a dried stalk against a New Mexico sky. As we walked past, the bird stopped us in our tracks by remaining at the top of the plant and singing for several minutes. Rather than darting away, it seemed content to perform its morning concert while we listened below.
