While walking near Girard Blvd, I came across this sunflower well past its prime. Its once-golden petals had dried and curled around the dark seed head, still framed by pointed green bracts. I liked the contrast between the fading yellow petals and the dark center, and the character the flower had taken on as it aged. I decided to make it my postcard for 11/02/26.
