My 08/16/23 postcard showcases a bloomed artichoke I discovered on Alvarado Drive, now beginning to dry out. Unfortunately, this one has become too tough to consume, but it has inspired me to grab a couple of fresh artichokes from the store for this weekend’s dinner.
