One of my neighbors has some corn growing in their yard; my picture for 08/03 is the top of a corn stalk. It’s called the tassel, and it’s the male part of the plant. It has always amazed me how words can have such contrasting meanings. If I told you, “I shot a photo of my neighbor’s tassel,” this picture is not what most of us would expect to see.
