This morning, I took the North Channel Trail in the opposite direction, and it rewarded me with a stunning view of the Sandia Mountains as the sun began to rise. My 10/01/24 postcard captures that moment, taken from the trail just north of UNM, as it runs parallel to the freeway. The soft light bathed the dust in the air, creating a gentle glow on the mountain.
