We went to the Mountainair Sunflower Festival, where we walked the shops and booths. My picture for 08/28 is a Mountainair pianist in an old building turned art gallery. At one of the booths, we bought a bag of biscochitos made by an older woman from a recipe passed down for four generations. We (mostly me) ate the bag of biscochitos while walking the festival. When we went back to buy another bag, we were raving about how much we like them, that’s when we found out it was an old family recipe. She was proud of her family’s biscochitos, and rightly so.
