A guy scatters birdseed daily at his home on California Street, drawing a sizable assembly of crows that roost around his house. As you travel the street, sentinels stationed at each end of the block vigilantly sound their calls at each passerby. My 01/06/24 postcard features one such watchful crow standing guard at the southern end of the block.
