Lately, when walking the Paseo de las Montanas Trail early, I’m finding lots of homeless sleeping near the trail. Over the years, I’ve always seen a rare person still sleeping in the park or near the trail. This year, there are days I’ll see several people sleeping outside as I walk in the morning, that’s not counting tents. My picture for 08/11 is a woman sleeping in the arroyo that runs near the trail. She had her hood pulled across her face to block the light of the rising sun.
