Urban Roadrunner

I noticed this young roadrunner darting across Silver Avenue and into some desert landscaping. In Albuquerque, these birds are perfectly at home among the cactus and other plants used in xeriscaping. My 08/05/26 postcard captures the youngster pausing just long enough to strike a pose.
