My postcard for 02/11/23 features an image from the Sweetheart Shop + Stroll held at a Night Club/Event Center just off Montaño. The venue’s atmosphere was dark and lively, with a large crowd of people in attendance. The experience of walking the event felt claustrophobic, something I reflected in the processing of the photograph. To cope with life, I’ve learned to suppress fear because, in every action, there is some risk. I understand there is a risk in whatever I’m doing, but a large crowd in a poorly ventilated building is new. It’s taking time to get used to this new risk factor.
