My 02/08/26 postcard features a crow perched on a twisted branch, body relaxed but alert, set against an open sky. Seen during a Sunday walk at the Albuquerque Rose Garden, it looked unbothered by people, watching, waiting, entirely at home in the moment. I processed it as a watercolor to make it more accurate to the experience; it better reflected the mood I felt standing there.
