My 02/09/24 postcard captures a dried-out prickly pear in Siesta Hills, clinging to the cactus from which it grew. In contrast, my photograph from the previous day showed a prickly pear beginning the drying process. Taking that picture heightened my awareness, causing me to take note of a cactus I had previously passed by several times without much thought.
