Rinconada Canyon

Rinconada Canyon

My 02/28/26 postcard captures a petroglyph carved into volcanic basalt in Rinconada Canyon at Petroglyph National Monument in Albuquerque. The zigzag, circle, and small symbol likely carried meaning for the Pueblo people who made them, though we can only interpret from a distance. The rock remembers more than we do.
