We walked around Old Town, then west on Mountain Road, and across the river to El Super on a simple quest for weekly produce. However, the festive spirit had already seized the store; it teemed with carts laden with celebratory fare. A testament to the holiday cheer, every register boasted a queue that snaked to the store’s far end. My postcard for 12/22/23 captures the vibrant prelude to holiday revelries at El Super.
