Leaf Luminescence

Walking up California Street, I watched the sun crest Sandia’s peak. As I  pasted Constitution, a particular tree caught my attention — sunbeams radiate some leaves, while others get cast into shadow. For my postcard marked 05/03/23, I chose an image of a sun-illuminated leaf, a sight that stirred memories of my youth, peering at leaves under a microscope.
