While on a morning walk to Nob Hill’s, The Farmacy, to indulge in one of their delicious breakfasts. We passed the New Mexico United Shop, where enthusiastic individuals eagerly awaited the chance to claim free United jerseys as the first ten customers. With tents and chairs set up, they turned the wait into a spirited affair, enjoying a game of dominoes while reserving their coveted spots in line.
Intrigued by their camaraderie and enthusiasm, I approached the group and asked if I could capture their moment in a photograph. Happily, they agreed, and this photo is my 07/21/23 postcard. The resolution displayed by these individuals under the blazing summer sun exceeded the mere value of a jersey; the thrill of being first fueled their adventure, and I couldn’t help but admire their spirit.
