The picture for my 07/25/23 postcard is a grass seed I encountered at UNM, nestled along the sidewalk. In an unexpected turn of events, an intrigued student approached me, eager to discover my find. When I revealed seed heads as my object of interest, his response was a simple “oh” before he departed, shaking his head in confusion. I’ve transformed the image into a painterly rendition, experimenting with the color.
