My postcard for 08/27/22 is of a festivalgoer at the Mountainair Sunflower Festival. We got out early and did a short hike at the Quarai ruins. Then we went to the Sunflower Festival and ate homemade biscochitos from a booth worked by the lady who made them. We saw fields filled with wildflowers on the east side of the mountains. It was beautiful. But I think, what I enjoyed the most, was seeing the people at the festival.
