My 10/29/26 postcard shows a crow settling in the upper branches of a pine tree early in the morning, before the sun fully brightens the sky. Its dark silhouette blended with the dense pine needles, while its distinctive beak and watchful posture stood out against the soft gray background. For a brief moment, the bird seemed to have the treetop—and the morning—all to itself.
