My picture for 08/14 is the crossroad in Carrizozo, New Mexico. We took a road trip to Alamogordo for the “Annual Cottonwood Festival.” It was an event I found online, and we thought it would be fun. In Alamogordo, we didn’t find a festival, but we did find a rainstorm. We stopped at the giant pistachio, bought some nuts, and started for home. We were treated to cloud-covered desert landscapes with views we had never seen before.
