My 03/19/26 postcard is a cluster of early spring growth pushing out from a weathered branch along Palomas Drive, its surface textured with tiny, bead-like forms just beginning to separate and expand. The outer sheath is splitting back, with a dense interior that hasn’t fully revealed what it will become, caught in that brief moment before opening.
