I’ve spent the last couple of days under a microscope and if you recognize this picture then you might know what that’s like. When you’re working at this craft every moment is scrutinized and recorded. You start out with 60 to 100 facts you need to balance in your head, then in a controlled manner bring into an improvisation with a total stranger. When the encounter it’s over you must from memory score over 100 different items in a very accurate fashion. Many times this also includes extra ailments that require special attention, like groaning in pain or breathing hard, something I was spared this time. Performing at this craft is truly a challenge, one I enjoy attempting to master. It’s like a giant roleplaying game where you’re constantly tested and they keep very accurate scoring.
